Beulah SDA Church

Pastor Dr. Vernon Jordan, Dmin, MDiv is our incoming Pastor at the Beulah 7^th day Adventist Church. He is looking forward to joining Beulah on the next leg of our journey.

With God at the helm, we will build lives, positively impact Mount Vernon and assist the ushering in of the kingdom of our Lord, Pastor Jordan is from the bucolic Island of Tobago and is the seventh of nine siblings.

Most recently Pastor Jordan pastored at Trinity Temple 7^th day Adventist Church, in Poughkeepsie, NY, from May 2013- September 2022. He was been actively involved in community affairs, He spearheaded the acquisition of our community services center building at 19 N Bridge St He also has a passion for reentry, assisting those who have served their prison sentences to adjust back into the community. He has been involved in meeting with other ministers, and local leaders in the Poughkeepsie community, with the goal of bettering the lives of adults, as well as children of the community. He believes in Evangelism outreach, and has led out in many Evangelism efforts, while at Trinity Temple 7^th day Adventist Church, gaining souls for the Kingdom of God. He has also organized repairs on the Church building, primarily replacing the front steps, replacing the stained glass windows, beautifying the internal building, and repairs at the Community Service Center, While at Trinity Temple, he was involved in hosting the Poughkeepsie Community SDA School at Trinity Temple, as he believes in the importance of 7th Day Adventist education.

Prior to going to Trinity Temple he pastored in Utica as an Associate Pastor. He then pastored full time at the friendship SDA Church in Elmira, and Ellenville/Kingston 7'^h Day Adventist Churches. He has been involved in many prior Evangelistic efforts, and in winning many souls for God's Kingdom, He is married to Dr. Mirlande Jordan, MD. Together, they are the proud parents of 3 adult children, Keisha, Nathaniel, and Seth.

Pastor Jordan is an avid reader, and enjoys listening to music, singing, gardening, and cooking in his spare time. His favorite Bible text is:  Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new: 2 Corinthians 5:17, He believes that all is possible as we work together in gaining souls for the Kingdom of God.
